Tonight at church I was eating dinner with my family and all of a sudden, Angela came in to tell me there was a present waiting for me in the other room. I looked at her as if she was crazy and she insisted I go out there to look. As soon as I saw the present I noticed a sticker with my name typed on it and sure enough, she wasnt lying and I became quite curious to what this was about. My birthday is on Saturday but I didnt think anyone but my close friends knew about it. So I grabbed it, it was a fairly good size, and I took it to where Steven, my dad and some friends are and begin to open it...I notice its a brown cardboard box with my parents address on it...it was from Costco and I knew instantly what it was and I was SHOCKED!
I go my brand new......
I go my brand new......
Pretty much everyone at the table knew I was getting it except for me!! I couldnt believe it...Im usually so good at "spoiling" my gifts..but not this time! My husband is so amazing and gracious...he had been given a birthday bonus at his work and used almost the whole check to buy this camera for me. I cant thank him enough and like I've said in previous posts..I am so blessed! I told him I would put it to good use and take very good care of it! I had been wanting this camera for almost a year now...with each side job Steven would get, we would try and put that money towards it...but something always came up. The funny part of this is that Steven had been telling me from the beginning of November that he hadnt gotten a bonus this year. I thought it was weird because everyone else in the company had received one. It didnt seem fair but I knew how slow it was at work and I just assumed the funds werent available. In all actuality, Steven had gotten his bonus and had cashed the check so I wouldnt see the transaction online. He had given the cash to my dad who spent a lot of time reaseaching the best place to get the camera and thats how he came up with Costco! It shipped to my parents house where my mom had wrapped it so cute but typed my name out on a sticker so I would have no idea who it was from...the funny thing is, as soon as I saw the package, I knew she had wrapped it. Even my best friend Angela knew about it...sneaky sneaky sneaky I tell ya! I am anxiously awaiting for my battery to charge so I can begin to play with it! I would love any and all advice on which editing program works best and is the easiest to use! Eeeeeekkkkk!! I am so happy, excited, thrilled and definatley loved :) Thank you so much Honey!! You got me!

Well, that's just the coolest birthday surprise! Mostly because Steve did such a good job at being sneaky and keeping you from finding out... that's fun!
Yeah! I am so glad you finally got your camera. It was fun to be a part of the sneaky little surprise also :) I know you will love your camera. There is just nothing like a digital SLR. I can't wait to see all the pictures you take with it! Let's go take a photography class together. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Yeah, great job Steven! So Photoshop elements is a good program and easy to use. It typically retails for $99.00, but it is on sale at Costco with a coupon for I think 40.00!! What a deal! Just ask your cashier for a coupon if you do not have one and at least at my store we would have to give it to you! I also love to use Lightroom to edit photos.
When Steve gets you he gets you, doesn't he? Have a great time with it and I will expect to see even more pictures of the best grandchildren in the world. AND you do have a GREAT husband.
